The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the
preferred language test by corporations and institutions in

Australia and New Zealand, and accepted for migration to Canada.

- WHAT DOES THE IELTS TEST CONSIST OF?
Academic Module
For entry into or exit from university courses, or entry into
senior government, commercial, or professional bodies.
- General Training Module
For entry into non-academic training, some certificate/diploma
courses, and other government and commercial positions
Each test module consists of 4 sections
- Listening 30 minutes
- Reading 60 minutes
- Writing 60 minutes
- Speaking 20 minutes
Scores are reported on a Test Report Form (TRF), showing
individual performance in listening, reading, writing and speaking
as well as an overall score. All scores are given on a 9 Band Scale
from non-user to expert user. Professional organizations,
universities and government bodies may expect a score of 6.0 to
7.0.
- HOW CAN YOU PREPARE FOR THE IELTS TEST?
You can purchase IELTS Specimen Material Packs from IDP
Education. These include practice tests and cassette work so you
can gain experience in the format of the test, as well as obtain an
idea of your level. They also contain various tips to help build up
your confidence before taking the IELTS test.
At IDP Pondok Indah (South Jakarta), you can also take a 12
hour IELTS Orientation Workshop. This will help to familiarise
you with the test format and afford you some practice before you
take the test.
